YOUR WEEKLY PORTO GUIDE
City in Celebration
November 5-11, 2026

|
FROM THE EDITOR
This week, Porto feels alive with the sound of its own history. We're marking 25 years since the city was Europe's Capital of Culture with a landmark concert at the Coliseu, featuring the artists who defined an era. Elsewhere, Serralves opens its doors for a weekend of performance art in unexpected places, and as the air turns crisp, the first scent of roasted chestnuts arrives with a community magusto. It's a week for music, art, and memory.

TIP OF THE WEEK
Navigating Marathon Sunday
On Sunday morning, the EDP Porto Marathon brings thousands of runners to the streets. Key riverside roads and parts of the city center will be closed to traffic from early morning until the afternoon. Plan ahead: use the Metro, which will run as usual, and check for bus route diversions. If you're not running, it's a great spectator sport, find a spot along the Douro to cheer them on, or head to a café in a quieter neighborhood like Bonfim or Cedofeita for a peaceful brunch.
