Tile Painting Workshop

The Tile Painting Workshop at doBARRO in Porto is a two-hour hands-on session led by Marisa Grilo and Felipe Rocio. Participants will design and paint their own four-tile ceramic mural, creating a unique piece for display or as a gift. No prior drawing or painting experience is needed, as multiple approaches are available, including freehand drawing, tracing paper transfer, and stencils.

The session covers sketching ideas, deciding on the tile composition, choosing a design approach, transferring it onto the tiles, and painting with color and detail. All necessary materials, four ceramic tiles, and the firing of the finished mural are included in the €45 price per person. The finished tiles will be ready for collection after firing, which typically takes up to two weeks.

The workshop takes place at the DoBarro atelier on Rua da Alegria in Porto. It is suitable for all levels and is kid-friendly for ages 12 and up. The workshop is taught in both Portuguese and English.
