Visita curatorial à exposição Alice Neel

This curatorial visit to the Alice Neel exhibition is led by Inês Grosso, the exhibition's curator. It offers an exploration of Alice Neel's artistic world, highlighting her focus on the human figure and her engagement with the social and political changes of the 20th century.

The visit will draw from research conducted for the exhibition, including the curator's experience researching in Vermont, where she accessed the artist's personal archive of correspondences, photographs, books, and other documents. The exhibition is organized into thematic sections, creating dialogues between different periods of Neel's artistic output.

Her extensive portrait work is presented alongside research and documentation sections, featuring archival materials that connect her painting to the social, political, and emotional contexts of her life. The event takes place on November 5, 2026, at 17:00, in the Ala Álvaro Siza, and offers free access with a general admission ticket.
