The Serralves Foundation – Museum of Contemporary Art hosts "Lee Ufan: FRAGMENTOS DO INFINITO," an exhibition dedicated to the South Korean artist Lee Ufan. Born in 1936, Lee Ufan is known for his role in the Japanese avant-garde Mono-ha movement and the Korean Dansaekhwa painting movement. His work redefines material, space, and perception in post-war art, emphasizing direct encounters with materials and their spatial relationships.

The exhibition, curated by Philippe Vergne and coordinated by Giovana Gabriel, is Lee Ufan's first major presentation in Portugal. It features three outdoor sculptures in the park, five paintings including a site-specific piece, and three sculptures inside the house. These works highlight the artist's long-standing interest in the interior/exterior relationship, the communication between forms and environment, and the dialogue between presence and absence.

The exhibition runs from October 16, 2026, to March 2027, at Casa e Parque de Serralves. It stages Lee Ufan's rigorous research into the interaction between object and landscape, affirming art as a continuous and active dialogue with the world. The exhibition is supported by SCAI The Bathhouse.
