JOANA SÁ - CORPO : TERRITÓRIO — VARIAÇÕES SOBRE INQUIETAÇÃO

Joana Sá presents "Corpo : território, variações sobre inquietação," a performance for semi-prepared piano, bass drum, and snare drum, transmuted by exciters. The piece listens to the planet as a restless body, exploring 'restlessness' as a planetary, bodily, and relational condition, encompassing vibrational, tectonic, and imaginative aspects.

The work was developed from field recordings, collaborative research, improvisation, and experimentation during residencies in Faial, São Miguel, and at Fundação Serralves. It is also significantly influenced by the traumatic 2025 fire in Frádigas, Serra da Estrela. The piano functions as an instrument of capture, a skin tuned to subterranean geological movements.

Tickets are available for €15 for residents and €19 for non-residents between November 2 and 8. A 25% discount applies to tickets for both days, cumulative with usual discounts for students and those over 65. Friends of Serralves have free entry.
