De Profundis

The Casa da Música Choir, directed by Léo Warynski, presents "De Profundis" on November 1, 2026, at 6:00 PM in Sala Suggia. This concert is scheduled for All Saints' Day, a date that evokes the memory of the departed and also marks the anniversary of the Lisbon earthquake.

The program is centered around Psalm 130, "From the depths I cry to you, Lord," and includes compositions by Arvo Pärt, António Pinho Vargas, Joseph Rheinberger, Felix Mendelssohn, and Philippe Hersant. Arvo Pärt's work in the program was written in memory of the victims of the 2004 Madrid attack. Tickets are priced at €22, with various discounts available for different groups such as friends of Casa da Música, young people, seniors, university students, and music teachers/students.
