Festival Floresta Amazónica – Girando Mundos

The Festival Floresta Amazónica – Girando Mundos is a week-long event at Casa da Música, running from November 12 to November 28, 2026. The festival serves as a culmination of the cycle dedicated to Heitor Villa-Lobos, with the Orquestra Sinfónica performing "Floresta do Amazonas" featuring an original staging by Brazilian visual artist Bianca Dacosta. The event transforms Casa da Música into a space for reflection and creation, offering conferences, meetings, musical preludes, documentary screenings, popular music concerts, and an immersive installation by Digitópia in collaboration with Bianca Dacosta.

The festival program includes various performances and activities. On November 12, there are concerts by Cordeiro convida Euterpe | Curcumbia (€22,00) and Will Love | Dj Waldo Squash (B2B DJ’s Gang do Electro) with free entry. November 13 features Casa da Música Clubbing Amazónico (€22,00). On November 14, the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música performs "Floresta do Amazonas" (€36,00 – €40,00). November 15 includes a free conference "Pensar a Floresta que cria" and a concert with Zaynara + Fafá de Belém (€26,00 – €30,00). The festival concludes on November 28 with "O Último Canto dos Pássaros" (€9,00).

Beyond scheduled concerts, the "Caminhos da Floresta" program, running from November 12 to 28, offers a journey through exhibitions, installations, documentaries, and performances across the venue's foyers, bars, and other spaces. This includes works by José Roberto Aguilar and Bianca Dacosta, a jukebox dedicated to Amazonian music, and an installation that transforms a plant's electrical activity into sound.
