Acting Like Women

The event presents the film "Acting Like Women," which explores the pioneering feminist performance art movement in Los Angeles in the 1970s. The film highlights the community of artists who used their bodies and voices as tools for activism, transforming the cultural landscape for women.

Following the screening, there will be a conversation with director Cheri Gaulke and co-writer Anne Gauldin. Carla Cruz, a visual artist and professor at the University of Minho, will moderate the discussion.

The event takes place on November 5, 2026, at Batalha Centro de Cinema, starting at 17:30. Tickets are priced at 5€.
