The event presents the film "Gays Against Guns," documenting the association's journey over a decade, from the Pulse massacre to the present day. The film illustrates how the association became a dynamic force in the movement to prevent gun violence, showing disruptive protests and direct confrontations with the gun lobby.
Set during a period of social unrest in the United States, the film combines intimate portraits of activists with stories of individuals affected by gun violence. This session includes a Q&A with Hal Moskowitz, a board member of GMHC – Gay Men's Health Crisis and a founding member of GAG.
The event takes place at Batalha Centro de Cinema on November 7, 2026, starting at 17:00. Tickets are priced at 5€.
