Pia Camil's Textile Installation

Pia Camil's textile installation, 'Partilhar', is presented by the Galeria Municipal do Porto. This large-scale outdoor artwork by the Mexican artist explores themes of sharing and community through its construction and display. Camil is known for her sculptural works that often incorporate repurposed textiles and engage with public spaces, drawing on her background in fine art and her interest in social practice.

Visitors will encounter the installation within the gardens of Palácio de Cristal. The artwork is designed to be viewed in an open-air setting, allowing for interaction with the natural surroundings. The experience is self-guided, allowing individuals to spend as much time as they wish observing the piece. The venue, Palácio de Cristal, offers expansive green spaces and views over the Douro River.

Admission to the installation is free. The artwork is accessible to all visitors during the gardens' opening hours from May 21st to May 27th, 2026. The Palácio de Cristal gardens are a short walk from the Hospital de Santo António bus stops and are also reachable via a pleasant walk from the city centre.
