The play "TPC: Frei Luís de Sousaaa" features five teenagers tasked with a school assignment about Almeida Garrett's classic work, "Frei Luís de Sousa." The group, including ex-partners Laura and Tiago, confronts the themes of the 1844 play, such as faith, machismo, and patriotism.
Director Raquel Castro developed the piece by addressing common student questions about reading classics. The performance gives voice to the teenagers' contemporary arguments and ideas about Garrett's drama, fostering a discussion about the play and group dynamics.
It runs from November 4th to November 7th, 2026, at TeCA, Teatro Carlos Alberto. School sessions are at 11:00 and 15:00 on Wednesday and Thursday, and 15:00 on Friday. A public session is available on Friday at 21:00 and Saturday at 19:00. Tickets are priced at €12.
