SOFIA KAFOL - VORACE

The performance "VORACE" (Italian for voracious) is a solo act by Sofia Kafol, a Luso-Slovenian dancer and creator. It features a body in its arena, utilizing the performer's lung capacity and numerous pompoms to build the rhythm and voracity of the body.

"VORACE" delves into dichotomies, portraying a desire for stability that consumes itself through its very longing. It is an attempt at emancipation within a body that activates other bodies, serving as an ode to insistence that emerges from roots and is savored in the mouth. The artist aims to reclaim her body from classical ballet parameters and societal anti-aging protocols, seeking a free, viscerally erotic, and democratic space.

The event takes place at the Galeria Contemporânea do Museu from November 7, 2026, at 15:10, until November 8, 2026, at 14:45. Access is granted upon purchasing a Serralves ticket, priced at €15 for residents and €19 for non-residents during the period of November 2-8. Tickets are exclusively available at the Museum Reception ticket office, with a 25% discount for purchasing tickets for both days, cumulative with usual discounts for students and those over 65. Friends of Serralves receive free entry.
