Queer Porto

The Queer Porto festival is holding its 12th edition from November 3 to November 7, 2026, at Batalha Centro de Cinema in Porto. The event will showcase recent queer cinema, with many films making their national debut.

The festival's program focuses on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities globally, featuring personal narratives of love, self-affirmation, and discovery, alongside historical chapters of the community's evolution. The Official Competition includes fiction and documentary feature films that have premiered at major international festivals, while the Portuguese Shorts Competition highlights new generations of queer filmmakers.

Additional sections include Queer Resistance, which presents documentaries offering intimate perspectives on individuals and phenomena of resistance worldwide, and Queer Focus, dedicated to writers whose biographies and works contribute to queer culture.
