Lançamento de Livro | 2026 | ABC da Guerra

The book launch for "ABC da Guerra" by João de Sousa Cardoso takes place at Teatro Nacional São João. The book compiles ten essays from his conference series at Teatro São Luiz, exploring dramatic texts that address war, its consequences, and its victims. The selected plays span from 1936 to 2014, including works by Karl Valentin, Bertolt Brecht, Tennessee Williams, and Jorge de Sena.

The publication also includes visual documentation from the hybrid conference-theater sessions and the invited performers who read excerpts. The event features the author, João de Sousa Cardoso, and a presentation by poet, chronicler, and literary critic Pedro Mexia.

Admission is free until the room reaches its capacity. Standing places may be available, also subject to room capacity. The event is scheduled for November 17, 2026, at 19:00, with a duration of 90 minutes.
