Jogo do moinho

The "Jogo do moinho" is an activity that delves into the exhibition "Entre a terra e o mar - O Monte Castêlo de Guifões." It explores the ancient board game, tracing its history from Ancient Egypt to medieval Iberian Peninsula markings, highlighting its role as a strategic exercise, social activity, and cultural element.

The event connects the game of the mill, one of the oldest examples of this tradition, with contemporary games. It offers a journey between the past and the present, where each move tells a story.

The activity takes place at the Museu da Memória de Matosinhos from May 19, 2026, to November 13, 2026. The museum is open Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 18:00.
