Elogio ao Fio, de Guga Szabzon

The exhibition "Elogio ao Fio" by Guga Szabzon opens at Kubikgallery on November 7, 2026, at 16:00. The artist's research began during her walks through Porto, where she collected discarded fragments such as bent wires and loose cords. These objects, initially seen as insignificant, revealed unexpected beauty to her.

In her studio, Guga Szabzon organized these found threads by color, shape, and size, creating a kind of bestiary. She then chose some of them to honor, imagining a unique work for each piece. This process transformed her perception of the city, with her routes becoming mapped by the objects she discovered on the ground.

The exhibition focuses on re-examining what has been overlooked, finding new possibilities in the forms and movements of these small objects. Admission to the exhibition is free.
