The Pond, by Bárbara Assis Pacheco and others

Charca marks the third chapter in an exhibition series that previously presented Ilha in 2013 and Olho in 2015, focusing on artistic creation sparked by literary works in dialogue with bookshop spaces. Taking Manuel Bivar's 2021 book A Charca as its starting point, the exhibition brings together works by Bárbara Assis Pacheco, Joana Linda, ̶M̶i̶g̶u̶e̶l̶ Bonneville, Sofia Arriscado, Carlota Lagido, and Carla Cruz.
Across drawing, installation, video, and photography, the participating artists examine ecological crisis, technology, physical vulnerability, and relationships with the environment.
The opening takes place at Térmita, located at Largo de Mompilher 5, on 13 November at 17:00. Admission is free, with an age rating of 16+.
