Candlelight's Christmas concert comes to Palácio da Bolsa, with the hall lit by hundreds of candles. A string quartet, Quarteto Intempus, plays a mix of carols and Christmas pop. It's a tribute concert and has no link to any of the original artists.
The planned programme opens with the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. Then come carols like Greensleeves, Carol of the Bells, O Holy Night and Jingle Bells, plus Last Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Let It Go from Frozen and Hans Zimmer's Maestro from The Holiday. The concert lasts 60 minutes.
There are two shows on Saturday 19 December, at 19:30 and 22:00, and tickets start at €19.50. Doors open an hour before, and you won't get in once they close. Seats are given out at the door in order of arrival, within your ticket type, so arriving early gets you a better seat. Children must be 6 or older, and anyone under 16 needs to come with an adult. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
