A Poesia Adora Andar Descalça

The poetry club 'A Poesia Adora Andar Descalça' is a continuous, weekly project focused on promoting poetry in its written, read, and listened forms. The club draws inspiration from the collection of the Biblioteca de Poesia Eugénio de Andrade, making its archives available for free consultation to all visitors.

Under the motto of Eugénio de Andrade, the club aims to be a collaborative space for exploring, discussing, and sharing the world of words. This includes reading and analyzing poems by recognized authors, creating original texts, and reflecting on universal themes. The project also plans to develop partnerships with local institutions to diversify its mediation services, with a focus on creating specific activities for the senior community.

Participants are encouraged to become familiar with the library and its poetic collection through weekly sessions. These sessions will cover six poets from different literary currents. The event is free and takes place at the Biblioteca de Poesia Eugénio de Andrade, starting on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
