A Arte da Fuga

The Casa da Música presents "A Arte da Fuga" by Johann Sebastian Bach, a work for which the composer did not specify instrumentation. This concert offers a new perspective on the piece through a deconstruction by Johannes Schöllhorn, performed by the Remix Ensemble Casa da Música.

The program also includes a more historically faithful interpretation by the Casa da Música Baroque Orchestra, allowing for a comparison between the two approaches. Laurence Cummings will lead on harpsichord and musical direction, with Ustina Dubitsky also directing.
