The workshop "A Arte à Mesa" is dedicated to the art of hosting, promoting the heritage of etiquette, hospitality, and Portuguese table culture. The session is led by Paulo Carvalho, a hotel director with over 30 years of experience in managing hotel units and working in the tourism sector. Topics include how to set a table according to the menu, types of dishes, cutlery, and glasses, and their appropriate use, as well as the service of soups, starters, main courses, and desserts. Wine and beverage service, basic protocol rules, and practical tips for meals at home, events, and professional contexts are also covered.
This workshop is suitable for hospitality enthusiasts, event organizers, restaurant professionals, associations, or anyone interested in social etiquette and table service.
